Choose different types of  cutter wheels, according to construction design requirements of diaphgragm wall(Slurry Wall or Barrette Wall or Retaining Wall) and geological condition(strata). 

Normally, if the soil SPT value is less than 30, you can choose the standard cutter wheel. If the soil SPT value is greater than 30, or the rock strength is greater than 50Mpa, the standard wheels, round shank chisel wheels or hybrid cutter wheels will be selected. When the rock strength is greater than 50Mpa, round shank chisel cutter wheels, hybrid cutter wheels or roller bit cutter wheel are usually used. Of course, the specific choice of cutter wheel still has to be judged according to the actual geological conditions.
